Georgia Jeanette Henry Humphrey, 85, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Monday, September 7, 2009, at Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, July 16, 1924, to the late Edward and Nellie Brannock Henry. Mrs. Humphrey was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Belle Bennett Circle and the Garden Club. She was former owner of Georgia's Gifts and a retired Whalen Jewelers employee.

Her husband Joe S. Humphrey and sister, June Foley preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Humphrey Stroub, Cynthiana, Ky., one granddaughter, Christy (Billy) Gibson, Lexington, Ky., and great granddaughter, Evan Nicole Gibson.

Services will be conducted 1:30 P.M. Friday, September 11, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church, by Rev. James Owens, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home and after 10 A.M. Friday, at the First United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.

Active Pallbearers are Billy Gibson, Bobby Hendricks, Buddy Switzer, Stan Lemons, Philip Foley and
Dr. Doug Cox.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ralph Jones, Johnny Switzer, Russell Whalen, Dr. Joe A. Nichols, Dr. John Fox
and Rick Kendrick.
