Leslie Lee Spears, 73, Anderson died at 1 a.m. Tuesday at Gravette Medical Center where he had been a patient for one week.
A carpenter and a farmer, Mr. Spears had lived in the Anderson area since 1914. He was born in Newton Co., Ark. He had been an active member of Oddfellows Lodge for many years.
Surviving are one son, McDonald County Sheriff, Earl L. Spears, and one grandson, Paul Spears.
The funeral was scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Ozark Funeral Home Chapel, Anderson with burial in Anderson Cemetery. The Rev. Dean Royce was to officiate.
