WANDA MAE HAMBLIN CHAPPELL, age 68, of Highway 92 East, Williamsburg, Kentucky passed away on Saturday morning, March 21, 2009 at the Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky.
She was born in Knox County, Kentucky on July 1, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Elzie and Stella Woods Hamblin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brother, Leslie Hamblin and Harlan Ray Hamblin and two sisters, Beatrice Bargo and Doxie Liford.
Wanda was a member of the New Beginning Church in Barbourville, Kentucky.
Survivors are her six children, Terry Davidson (Patsy) of Williamsburg, Sherry Patterson (Chet) of Williamsburg, Larry "Cush" Davidson (Nicki) of Owensboro, Kentucky, Karen Helton (Rema) of Williamsburg, Deborah Martin (Gary) of Barbourville and Timothy Chappell (Natasha) of Williamsburg; 16 grandchildren; 8 Great-grandchildren; one sister, Lorene Kendrick (Richard) of Corbin, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation was held after 5:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Croley Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Richard Kendick, the Reverend Dan Napier and the Reverend Jerome McCullah officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Creek Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
