OBITUARY
Drucilla Henson, daughter of Samuel and Drucilla Henson was born in Barry county, Dec. 23, 1878, near Jenkins. She was married to Allen Sullivan, and to this union were born two children, both having preceded their mother in death.
After the death of Mr. Sullivan she was again married to Isaac Meyers.
To the last union were born six children, 3 boys and 3 girls. One boy and two girls of this marriage have preceded their mother in death. Two boys
Delmer and Elmer, and one girl, Lottie Smith, all of this county remain to grieve the passing of mother.
Since the death of Mr. Meyers she has spent most of her time livling on her farm south of East Purdy, but during her last two months she has made her home with her son, Delmer, east of Purdy.
She was converted when a girl and held membership in the Shiloh Baptist church near Jenkins at her death.
Besides the three children she leaves four brothers and one sister. The brothers are Wm. Henson, Sam Henson, Robert Henson, and Melvin Henson; the daughter, Sallie Sullivan, lives at Jenkins. A host of grandchildren, nephews and nieces, and loved ones and friends also mourn her passing.
Mrs. Meyers was a Christian woman whose Influence was felt and will be sadly missed. She was patient almost beyond measure, enduring the body-destroying diseases which for many years gradually sapped her vitality, and for almost a year kept her confined to her bed. Death came peacefully Monday afternoon, Dec. 10, 1934, age 56 years, 11 months and 17 days.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Ed Brown at Arnhart church, Burial was made in the cemetery there with the Koon Funeral Service in charge.
