LOGAN-Chester H. Peterson, age 81, passed away at his home on May 16, 2005. He was born July 18, 1923 in Logan, Utah, to P. Edwin Peterson and A Veda Hurst.

Chester was born, lived his entire life and passed away all in the same home.

He graduated from Logan High School. He served in the Army during World War II as a baker and with the military police. He worked as a custodian and groundskeeper at the Cache County Courthouse and Cache Chamber of Commerce for 24 years. He made many friends there.

He enjoyed making tables and benches from wood and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He dedicated many years to help care for his mother. He was an active member of the LDS Church.

He is survived by two sisters, Wanda Marrs, Palmer Alaska; Joy P. Golding, Logan, Utah; two nephews, Jay (Sheila) Golding, West Jordan; Don (Cherryl) Golding, Montpelier, Idaho; one niece, SaRene (Scott) Brooks, Morgan, Utah; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Edwin R. Golding, Providence, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 18 at 11:00 AM. at the Logan Crockett Chapel, 325 Lauralin Dr. Prior to the funeral, a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
