EPSTEIN–A. James 'Jimmy,' 86, of Westmont, died Sat., Oct. 10, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 11, 1922, in Johnstown, son of Harry & Irene Dorothy (Oseroff) Epstein. Pre-deceased by father, 1955; mother, 1988; and brother, Paul, 1928. Survived by children: Adrienne, married to Thomas Gordon Evans III, Bryant, AR; Eric, married to Patricia Mancl, and Hope, both of Reeseville, WI; grandchildren: Jessica (Epstein) Hellenbrand; Jennifer, Weston and Paulette Epstein; and Tommy Evans IV. Also survived by best friend and lifelong companion, Dianne O'Shea, and cousins, William and Harold Oseroff, both Akron, OH. Jimmy was in excellent health until he was diagnosed with lung cancer in September of this year. He was a member of Beth Sholom Congregation. Graduate of Westmont High School, Class of 1941. He attended the Univ. of Pennsylvania, but was forced to leave due to serving in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Cancer Society and the Flood City Y Divers. He was the second generation owner of Royal Plate Glass Co. Friends received from 11a.m. until the hour of service at noon Tuesday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Rabbi Irvin Brandwein. Interment, Rodef Sholom Cemetery.
