Her father, Daniel Ristau was born 1822 in Zakrzewke, Kreis Flatow, West Prussia and married Rosine Semerau February 27, 1848 in Pempersin, Kreis Flatow, West Prussia. They immigrated to America on the May 8, 1858 on the S.S. Atalanta.
Daniel was drafted into the Civil War and died November 27, 1864 in Georgia. The location of the body was never known and was never returned to Wisconsin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Beilke, 85, a life-long resident of the town of Maine who died yesterday afternoon about 1:45 o'clock at the home of a son, Leo Beilke, town of Maine, after a lingering illness, will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at her son's home and at 2 o'clock at Zion Lutheran church in the town of Maine, with the Rev. Walter Piehler officiating.
The body was to be taken to the son's residence from the Ritter & Deutsch funeral home late this afternoon. Interment will be in Maple Grove cemetery in the town of Maine.
The daughter of Daniel and Rosina Ristow, Mrs. Beilke was born May 24, 1863 in the town of Maine, where she was married September 13, 1879, to G F Beilke, who died August 15, 1938. She was a charter member of the Zion church ladies' aid society.
Survivors include five sons, George C Beilke, 518 S Fourth Avenue, Leo F Beilke, town of Maine, Martin O Beilke, Minneapolis, Erwin J Beilke, 629 Leubner Street, and Harris F Beilke, 520 West Street; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Lemke, Merrill, and Mrs. William Duranso, Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Augusta Dudley, Gleason; 34 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
