Mrs. Dollie Minatrea, 95, died Tuesday afternoon in the IOOF Nursing Home.

Mrs. Minatrea was born on August 13, 1912 the daughter of Ezra and Annie Mae Barrow Gothard in Palmer, Texas. Mrs. Minatrea was raised in Palmer and attended Palmer schools. On May 15, 1935 she was married to James Albert Minatrea, Sr. After their marriage they made their home in Ennis and then lived in Pasadena, Texas for a short time before moving back to Ennis. Mrs. Minatrea worked for Ennis Laundry for over 30 years.

She was a member of the Anthony Drive Baptist Church where she was a member of the JOY Group and the Homemakers Sunday school class. Mrs. Minatrea loved gospel music and working in her flower garden.

Mrs. Minatrea is survived by one son Jimmy and his wife Audrey Minatrea of Ennis; two sisters Kathleen Baker and Helen Huff both of Dallas; five grand children Dinna Jo Zambrano, Terrie Alcala, Jackie Minatrea, Tim Minatrea, and Christie Kallmeyer; nine great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, and a special friend Alene Johnson.

Mrs. Minatrea is preceded in death by her husband James Minatrea on June 19, 1984; three brothers and one great grand daughter Tosha Minatrea.

Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday in Myrtle Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Keever Chapel under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary in Ennis.
