Fredia's obituary was published in the Shelby Star:

"Shelby - Mrs. Fredia Elizabeth Sisk Blanton, 51, of Shelby, died Monday, July 7, 1997, at Hospice of Wendover.

A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Fred S. and Lillian Huffstickler Sisk.

She was a weaver at Doran Textiles and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Blanton was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Clifton Blanton.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Blanton and Tracy Blanton, both of Shelby; three sisters, Maxine sisk of Shelby, Ruth Randall of Lawndale and Norma Henson of Lattimore; one brother, Fred A. Sisk of Shelby; and one cousin, Mary Ann Rash of Shelby.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, at Clay-Barnette Chapel, with the Rev. Dan Wallace and the Rev. Bo Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.

Visitation is tonight from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home. At other times, thefamily will be at the home of her sister, Maxine Sisk of Shelby.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150."
