He was a veteran serving in the Navy during WWII.
Survivors include: one daugher, Paula Chamblee of Freeport, Fla.; three grandchildren; four step daughters; eight step grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Services were held March 7, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Art Smith officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, Mo.
