Patricia Amelia Atwill, 81, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Oct. 6, 2009.

Patricia was born on Dec. 29, 1927 in Parma, Mo., to the late John and Pearl (Sebastian) Buttrey. One of eleven children, she learned the precious value of family at an early age. Patricia briefly taught school and she retired from the Missouri Welfare Office. Patricia touched the lives of many with her natural grace and friendly spirit. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and a beautiful Christian lady.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Sondra Ward and her husband, Bill, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; grandson, Mark Ward and his family of Tipton, Ind.; granddaughter, Candice Felton and her family of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two brothers; five sisters; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; daughter, Jeanette Williams and her husband Larry; two sisters; and a brother, Mary Lou Buttrey Hampton, Ivanell Buttrey Blatchley and Samuel J Buttrey.

Graveside services will be held at Beal Memorial Cemetery, 316 N. Beal Parkway, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. with her grandson, Rev. Mark Ward, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or Covenant Hospice of Niceville.
