Lily Doan was born October 2, 1865, in Ingham county, Michigan, being one of five children, three of whom survive. Her girlhood days were spent on the farm where she was born except for the time she attended high school at Dansville. She was married Sept. 8, 1887 to Elmer Jackson of White Oak township, where the most of their married life was spent, they having lived 2 years in Ingham township and 3 years in Vevay township. In October, 1919, they moved to Lansing where they have since resided. Deceased was a member of the Methodist Protestant church of Lansing. Mrs. Jackson was a helpful wife, a perfect mother and a warm friend and her loving amiable ways won for her many true friends who unite with her bereaved relatives in mourning their loss. Surviving her are her husband, one son, A.O., an adopted daugher, now Mrs. Ray Garrison, all of Lansing, one sister, Mrs. Blanch Seboldt of Ann Arbor, two brothers, E.J. Doane of Mason, and J. W. Doane (probably Find A Grave Memorial# 66270023) of Williamstonsport, Indiana, besides three grandchildren. [source of obit unknown]
