Rite Conducted For Minister
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Jennings-Lyons funeral chapel at Owosso for Mrs. Ella Ewers, a minister, who died Friday morning.
Ella Shaw was born on November 9, 1872 in Dansville. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. O. F. Shaw. On October 21, 1889 she was united in marriage to Edward Ewers and for several years they lived nearby.
There were 2 children born, a daughter, Flossie of California, and a son, Paul of Detroit, both of whom survive. Charles Shaw of Dansville, a brother, also survives. Mr. Ewers died November 3, 1950.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Ewers were ministers in the Pilgrim Holiness church. Burial was in Fairview cemetery, Dansville.
Note that the marriage date in this obituary is incorrect - the actual marriage record in Ingham County, Michigan, gives the date as October 23.
