Mary Elizabeth "Sis" Adams, Robinson was the daughter of Humphrey Posey & Mary Bailey Collins, Adams. She was married to Joseph Lee "Leander/J.L." Robinson. They were the parents of eleven children, an Infant, Octavia, Posey, William, Oscar, Shufford, Claude, Grace, Fauntleroy, Addison and Annie B Robinson . Annie and her son Lyle M Robinson, are buried in Mount Peace Cemetery, Akron, Summit Co. Ohio. Also Joseph & Mary's son, Shufford Robinson was first married to Elizabeth Leatherwood. After her death he re-married.
