DEATH OF MRS.
HENRY BIESTERFELD
Young Mother Passes Away Tuesday
Morning--Funeral to Be Held
at 1 O'clock Friday.
A death which saddened the home
and community occurred at 9 o'clock
Tuesday morning, September 25,
When Mrs. Henry Biesterfeld, Jr.,
passed away. She was a young Woman,
only 29 years old, and a sorrowing
husband and two small children are
left desolate by her departure.
Edna Ida Matilda Biesterfeld, nee
Dagner, was born August- 10, 1899, in
Vivian Township. She was baptized in
the Lutheran faith September 10 of
the same year. She grew to woman-
hood with her brothers and sisters in
a happy homelife in Vivian. Later
she attended the Lutheran parochial
school in Wells and was confirmed
April 16, 1912.
On September 21, 1920, she married
Henry Biesterfeld Jr., and two
children came to bless their union.
They are Mertice, seven years old,
and Lester, nearly three years old.
Mrs. Biesterfeld had suffered a
long time with leakage of the heart.
Since April she has been seriously ill
following an attack of influenza,
from which other complications grew,
which caused her death last Tuesday
morning. She was always a patient
sufferer and was resigned to her
death. She was known as a good
Christian- character and a loving and
kind hearted wife and mother. She
attended the Lutheran Church and
was faithful worker, receiving the
comfort and consolation of her pastor
shortly before her death. Everything
her family could do for her was done
to make her suffering less.
Beside her sorrowing husband and
children she is survived by her
mother, Mrs. Louis Dagner, two sis-
ters, Mrs. Hattie Bebler and Esther,
two brothers, Emil and Louis, living
in Vivian Township, her parents -in
law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry piesterfeld,
Sr., and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at
1 o'clock Friday at the home, about
nine miles southwest of Wells, and at
2 o'clock at the First Evangelical
Lutheran Church. Rev. William
Ganschow will have charge of the
services, which will be held in both
the German and English languages.
Interment will be made in Rosehill
Cemetery.
