HENRY H. BIESTERFELD

  Funeral services for Henry H.
Biesterfeld, 80, Wells, were held
Monday, January 14, at 1:30 p.
m., at Good Shepherd Lutheran
church, Wells, with the Rev.
Burton Schwerin and the Rev.
William Kees officiating. Inter-
ment was in Rosehill cemetery,
Wells. Military honors were ac-
corded at the graveside by Tros-
ka Post 210, Wells American
Legion.

  Casket bearers were Ross
Gray, William Brandt, Clifford
Korman, August Groskreutz,
Louis Huper and Alvin Grau.

  Visitation was at the Heitner
Funeral Chapel, Wells, preced-
ing the services.

  Mr. Biesterfeld died Thurs-
day, January 10, at 9:45 a. m.,
at Wells municipal hospital,
which he had entered December
28, following intermittent ill-
nesses.

  He was born May 29, 1893,
in Clark township, the son of
the late Henry and Ottilia Bies-
terfeld. He had spent his entire
lifetime in the Wells area, mov-
ing into Wells in 1957.

  Mr. Biesterfeld was a retired
farmer. He was a member of
Good Shepherd Lutheran church;
Troska Post 210, Wells Ameri-
can Legion; and Wells Senior
Citizens.

  He is survived by his wife,
Esther Mohr Johnson, four
daughters, Mrs. James (Carolee
Stenzel of Winona, Mrs. Richard
(LaDonna) Brandt of Wells,
Mrs. Bert (Joyce) Salisbury of
Albert Lea and Mrs. William
(Jean). Braun of Barney, N. D.;
a son, Lester of Wells; 22 grand-
children and seven great grand-
children; four sisters, Mrs. Til-
lie Seiffert of Wells, Mrs. John
(Millie) Gosch of Mankato, Mrs.
John (Esther) Schwarz of Chica-
go, Ill., and Mrs. Leonard (Lu-
cinda) Fronk of Culver City,
Calif.; and a brother, Melvin
Biesterfeld of Bartlett, Ill.

  He was preceded in death by
his first wife, Edna; his second
wife, Ada; a daughter, Myrtice;
three brothers; a sister; two
grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.
