Obit in The Correctionville News, 26 December 1963, page 1: Minnie H. Malcom was born February 14, 1873, in Ontario, Canada, and passed away Sunday, December 15, 1963, at a Sioux City nursing home at the age of 90 years. She moved to the Battle Creek community in 1880 and married George W. Malcom and they farmed in the Anthon-Oto community for many years. They retired to the Correctionville community in 1956. Mr. Malcom died in 1959. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Lee Miller of Cherokee, Mrs. Willard Eckert of San Manuel, Arizona, Mrs. F.H. Bergmann of St. Charles, Illinois, and Mrs. Kurt Erickson of Willmar, Minnesota, two sons, D.H. Malcom of Middletown, Ohio, and V.V. Malcom of Tulsa, Oklahoma, fifteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 18, at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethel Church at Piero with Rev. A.E. Goldhorn officiating. Funeral services were under direction of Wilson-Hull Funeral Home.
