Services for Arthur M. Bacon. 71, Breckinridge, will be at 2:00 p. m. Saturday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckinridge.
The Rev. Carlton F. Kjergaard will officiate at the rite and buriel will be in the Immanuel Luthean Cemetery . Arrangements are under the direction of The Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Bacon died suddenly Wed. after a lengthy illness. He was born near Breckinridge and had lived his entire life in the Breckinridge area. He attended Qunta High School.
Bacon and Helen Mohlenbrink were married Sept. 3, 1930, in Breckinridge. He worked as a farmer and a contact oil pumper, until his retirement in 1970. Bacon was also manager of the grain elevator in Breckinridge for years.
He is survived by his wife Helen of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Lee (Phyllis) Bales of Jennings and Mrs. Jack ( Wilma ) Vivrett, Breckinridge; a son Merle Bacon, of Breckinridge; 7 grandchildren; 5 gr. grandchilden; 5 gr gr grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Faye Campbell.
