Obituary

James Edward Eager, 88, retired produce dealer, died Sunday afternoon at a local hospital. He had been in failing health for several years.

Funeral services are to be at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the chapel of the Fred Bader Funeral home with Rev. Marvin Pigg officiating. Mr. Eager was a member of the Christian church.

Born at Beverly, IL on Aug. 31, 1861. Mr. Eager had lived in Fremont eight years. In 1902, he had moved to Louisville where he lived until 1918. He moved to O'Neill and was in the flour and feed business there for six years.

He moved to Arlington where he was in the produce business for six years. He came to Fremont in 1941.

Mr. Eager married Amy Mixer in Beverly, IL on Sept. 29, 1884. She died 10 years later.

Survivors include a son, Irving S. Eager of Fremont; two daughters, Mrs. A. L. Masters of Fremont and Mrs. E. D. Mayfield of Omaha; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Burial is to be in Memorial cemetery.
