She was born Birdie Pearl Weaver, on December 2, 1919, in Drumright, Oklahoma. Pearl's grandfather, Frank Wheeler, had been the first to strike oil in the Drumright oil field with the Wheeler No. 1 well in March, 1912.
Pearl grew up in Oklahoma with one sister and four brothers. She married her husband, Oland "Toad" Roberts, of Holdenville, Oklahoma, on October 31, 1939. They were married for 55 very happy years. They moved to Napa in 1950. Toad worked as a rigger for Kaiser Steel and Pearl worked for Rough Rider as a seamstress. She was also a vice president of her local union. In the 1970s, while still working full time at Rough Rider, she built a new business as a sales consultant for Home Interiors and Gifts and was one of the company's top salespeople. In 1990, Pearl and Toad moved to Conroe, Texas, to be closer to their family.
Pearl is survived by two children, her daughter, Sue Roberts Kopacz, and her son, Jim Roberts, both of Zavalla, Texas. Pearl has 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 14, 2015 from two o'clock till five o'clock.
The funeral service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Rd Conroe Texas 77303, on Monday, December 14, 2015 at three o'clock.
Pearl lived to be 96 years and 7 days old.
