Stogsdill Funeral Service Saturday
Funeral services for Thomas Jefferson Stogsdill, 77, 1408 North Oakland avenue, who died Wednesday night in Decatur and Macon County hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Moran and Sons funeral home. Burial will be in Long Point cemetery near Niantic. Friends may call at the funeral home. He leaves his wife, Martha Smith Stogsdill; five daughters, Mrs. Sofia Gordon, Mrs. Elsie Deem, Mrs. Louise McLemore, Mrs. Dorothy Oakley, Mrs. Bessie Bailey, Decatur; two sons, Wwillis, Woodstock; Charles, Decatur; two brothers, William, Festus, Mo.; Bluford, Raymond. There are 29 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mr. Stogsdill was a retire farmer and moved to Decatur from Niantic 25 years ago.
