Rachel Lou Bynum, 87, of Rector died Wednesday, October 7, 2009, in Little Rock.

Born September 24, 1922, in Rives, Missouri, she was a retired nurse. Mrs. Bynum was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Rector where she taught Sunday School for about 20 years.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Pam Abbott of Kennett, Missouri; three stepdaughters, Peggy Ingram, Diane Brewer, and Melba Ingram, all of Rector; a brother, Billy Jones of Kennett; and one grandson, Chad Abbott of Kennett. She is also survived by seven step grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; and two step great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the First General Baptist Church of Rector with Bro. Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Visitation will be at the church Friday from 11:30 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be David Jones, Tim Ingram, Russ Brewer, Dick Jones, Luke Brewer, Doug Ingram, Ryan Brewer, and Ken Jones.
