Mrs. Christina Schoenborn, 77, widow of the late John Schoenborn, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the farm home of her son, Jake, near Marytown, Calumet County, She had been ill only a few hours.
The former Christina Guelig, she was born at Marytown June 20, 1979, a daughter of the late Hubert and Christina Klinkner Guelig. Following her marriage to Mr. Schoenborn at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marytown November 26, 1901, the couple had farmed that area until her husbands death in December 1943
She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Mary Parish.
Surviving in addition to the son, Jake, are four daughters; Mrs. Steve Guelig, Mt. Calvary; Mrs. Ben Blank, St. Anna; Mrs. Roman Andrew, Johnsburg; and Mrs. Armand Mueller, Marytown; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Frank, Jake and Arthur Guelig, all of Lena; and six sisters, Mrs. Rose Kronz, Black Creek, Mrs. Catherine Hansen, South Dakota, Mrs. Floyd Parkinson, Menominee, Mich., Mrs. Carolyn Morris and Miss Mary Guelig, Lena, and Mrs. Margaret Bloombert, Omro.
She was also preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marytown, following brief 9 o'clock rites at the Lisowe Funeral Home, St. Cloud. The Rev. George Budde, pastor, will be celebrant of the requiem mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
