James N. "Bud" Brainard age 82, a life long resident of Maumee died Saturday March 3, 2001, at St. Luke's Hospital. Mr. Brainard was a self-employed truck driver for S.E. Johnson and A.M.A. for over 40 years. Bud was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion Post #320, Maumee.
He is survived by his children, Douglas Brainard of Maumee, David Brainard of Waterville and Cynthia (Tom) Machoukas of Maumee. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jonathan and Jason Brainard and Adam and Ryan Machoukas. His wife, Helen; daughter, Suzanne, and daughter-in-law, Janice, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral services will begin Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Maumee. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery. A Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
