Robert Michael Wieland, 44, of Elburn, with his loving family and friends at his side, passed away Nov. 23, 2003, after an extended battle with cancer.
Michael was a 1977 graduate of Rockford Auburn High School. He earned a master of business administration degree from Aurora University. Michael was a technical writer for various companies including McDonald's and Arthur Andersen. He was employed for many years as a training developer by Bellcore.
Survivors include his loving wife, Cathleen of Elburn son, Adam, and daughter, Sarah, both of Rockford parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wieland of Sun City West, Ariz. brother, David and family of San Antonio, Texas and sister, Christine of Phoenix, Ariz.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
Donations in Michael's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
