Hello Renee,

I have talked (e-mail) with you before and with J'Nell concerning our Smelley family. Now, I have found 2 other connections on your family web site that are related to me.

The 1st. is the Yarbrough connection.

My ex-husband was Seth Wright Yarbrough's step-grandson. Wayne's grandmother was Albina (Klevar) Drost Yarbrough. Albina's first husband, Joseph Drost, was murdered on the McFaddin Ranch, while operating the gin at the ranch. That left Albina (Klevar) Drost with 6 children. I believe one of the children died before they married. Seth and Albina married and he raised her children as his own. I don't have a marriage date yet. All of the children thought the world of Seth. They are mentioned as his children in his obituary. Seth and Albina did not have children together.

Seth had been married previous to Albina. His first wife's name appears to have been Alice. I don't have a surname for her. They were married around 1920. I haven't been able to locate Seth on the 1920 Census. They had 2 children; Seth Wright Yarbrough, Jr. and Viola Yarbrough. Alice and Seth were divorced before the 1930 census.
