I did not know Mrs. Bittner very well, but do have my remaining childhood impressions of her. I remember her as a lady. She was always put together very nicely in clothes and accessories of good taste. She lived in a beautiful home not far from the Rose Gardens in Allentown, and drove good cars, one of which ended up becoming my mom's, a Blue Chevrolet Malibu with white leather interior. Car buffs used to ooh and ahh over the car, especially the engine, a small block 305.
Because my folks saved her funeral program, we know her services were held January 3, 1984 at Christ Lutheran Church, 13th and Hamilton, in Allentown, Pennsylvania at 10:30 a.m..
