Minnie's father's name was John Osbourn II, and he was born in England in 1832. Minnie's mother's name was Mary Parker-Osbourn, and she was born in Ireland in 1841. John and Mary Parker-Osbourn left England around 1862 to move to Canada. They brought Mary Parker-Osbourn's mother, Sarah Parker who was born in 1820 in Ireland, with them. Eventually, John and Mary moved to Akron Michigan in Tuscola County, USA where Minnie was born.
