Martha Oliver was born near New Madison, North Carolina, February 8, 1836, and died at Guthrie, Okla., April 22, 1919, at the age of 84 'years, 2 months and 14 days. At the age of eight years, she moved to Jefferson county, Ind. with her mother; her father having died when she was an infant, she being the youngest of a family of fourteen children. She was united in marriage in 1857 to Joseph Gray, who departed this life on December 5, )15, near Elk City, Kans. To this union was born three, children, all of whom survive. They are Mrs. Olive Hoeppner of Labette City, Kans., Hayden Gray of Guthrie, Okla., and J.D. Grav of Elk City. The deceased is also survived by one brother, John Oliver of Stillwater, Okla., six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her loss. But our loss is her Eternal gain. .
