Nancy A. Huntington, 56, of Canyon died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, in Amarillo.

Rosary was said at 5 p.m. Monday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today in St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Phu Phan as celebrant. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery.

Nancy was born March 7, 1953, in El Paso to Ralph and Mary Huntington. She graduated from Canyon High School in 1971.

Nancy spent her life volunteering and also caring for her parents. In 1978, she began to volunteer for the Girl Scouts and has been devoted to them ever since. She also volunteered for America's Promise at San Jacinto Christian Academy and in her sister's first-grade classroom.

Nancy spent her summers as the craft director for Camp Kiwanis. Nancy was dearly loved and will be missed by her family.

Nancy and her family would like everyone to consider being an organ donor.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph, in 2002.

Survivors include her mother, Mary of Canyon; two brothers, Jerry Huntington and wife Rachel of Amarillo and Stephen Huntington of Barcelona, Spain; two sisters, Kathy Stevens and husband David of Haslet and Betsy Huntington of Canyon; a niece, Suzi Stockton and husband Glen of Frisco; a nephew, Jono Huntington and wife Dorothy of Amarillo; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Girl Scouts, 6011 W. 45th Ave., Amarillo, TX 79109.
