Sikeston - Funeral service for Mrs. Joy Alley was held today at Nunnelee Funeral Home here. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery here.
She was 75 years old. She died Monday, June 13, 1988, at her home, following an extended illness.
Born Dec. 25, 1912, in Atwood, Tenn., she was the daughter of Robert Ballard and Mattie Ellen Caudle. She married Preston E. Alley, who died Oct. 28, 1971.
She was a retired secretary at Fremont Goetz Farms and C.D. Springs Trucking Co. here. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, and a former member of Coalesce Club.
Survivors include a son, Donald E. Alley; two nephews, Ralph M. Caudle and Jerry Alley; a niece, Ellen Wynn; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
