FORT MYERS NEWS-PRESS, August 26, 1948 - Clyde E. Langford, 54-year-old lifetime resident of Fort Myers, died yesterday following a short illness. The son of Mr. & Mrs Taff O. Langford, pioneer settlers, Langford was at one time engaged in the real estate and land business here but in recent years has been retired.
He was a member of the Elks Club and the American Legion. He was a veteran of the first world war.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Leo Engelhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Guy Owen officiating. Interment will be in the family plot at Fort Myers Cemetery.
Pallbearers, all Elks, will be Park Pigott, Abe Skinner, Hudson Whidden, William Lauth, Glen Lancaster and Clayton Atchison.
