He was a faithful member of the Church of God for many years and was widely known as a man of Christian character. A number of grandchildren and other relatives survive.
The funeral services were conducted on November 19, at the Church of God at Saxton, by the Rev. F. W. McGuire. Interment was made in Fockler's Cemetery.
