OBITUARY

George "Mo" D. Roberts, 88, of Wendell, died July 4 at Magic Valley Manor in Wendell.

Born June 30, 1898, in Spickard, MO., he married Grace Carolyn McDaniel April 29, 1932, in Walker, MO. He served with the Navy during World War I, and they moved to Hagerman (Idaho) in 1946.

He worked for the Morrison-Knutsen Co. as field supervisor in construction of the upper and lower Salmon Dams. He also worked on the Oxbow and Brownlee dams, and several missile sites, retiring in 1961.

They moved to Twin Falls in 1963 and to Wendell in 1965, where they had resided since.

He was a former member of the Hagerman Lodge 78 AF and AM and a former member of the Wendell Lodge 54 AF and AM.

Surviving are: his wife of Wendell, three daughters, Ardith Tate of Boise, Esta Barlogi of Twin Falls and Sondra Hulme of Hagerman; four sons, George A. Roberts of Big Piney, Wyo., John L. Roberts of Provo (Utah), J. David Roberts of Weiser and James A. Roberts of Twin Falls (Idaho); 39 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred Emily, and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was Tuesday in Demaray's Wendell Chapel. Burial was in Wendell Cemetary.
