Charlie Anderson Services Monday
Charlie M. Anderson, 79, of Athens, former resident of Richland and Pursley, died in a Gladewater hospital Saturday night.
He was the husband of Cora Ada (Garner) Anderson and the son of Will Anderson and Mary (Roberts) Anderson.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Griffin Chapel with burial in the Ward cemetery at Pursley.
The rites were conducted by Rev. J. B. Smith, Baptist minister of Kilgore. Rev. W. K. Shelton of Kilgore assisted.
The IOOF Lodge conducted the rites at the grave.
Surviving are his wife of Athens, three sons, Otto Anderson, Kilgore; William Anderson, Houston and Calvin Anderson, Jefferson; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lee Anderson and Mrs. Audrey Fowler, both of Kilgore; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother Harve Anderson, Overton; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Baker, Dallas; Mrs. Jessie Phillips, Tyler, and Mrs. Willie Campbell, Corsicana, nephews and other relatives.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
