Cox, Glenys (Gifford), 83, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2009. Private family graveside services. Glenys was born November 8, 1925, in Wichita to parents, Noble and Harriet Gifford. She was a loving mother, sister, and homemaker, and enjoyed 65 years of marriage to her East High school sweetheart, Clyde E. Cox, Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Bryan Buck. She is survived by her husband, Clyde of Wichita; her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Farris Farha of Wichita and Julie and Dick Brighthaupt, of Lees Summit, MO; her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Melanie Cox of Wichita; three grandchildren, Stephanie Linnebur of Wichita, Staci Buck of Raymore, MO and Erika Sage of Belton, MO; two great-grandchildren, Courtney Linnebur and Melody Sage; sister, Donna Elder and brothers, Yale Gifford and Eldon Gifford. Glenys was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in her family. She will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Glenys' name may be given to the Alzheimer's Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
