THE PARIS NEWS, MONDAY, JUNE 3, 1940, PAGE 3 - Dr. E. C. Scott, practicing physician in Lamar County for 42 years, died at 7 a.m. Sunday at his home. He was 64 years old, a native of Texas. His service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Pyles Cemetery, east of Direct, conducted by the Rev.Woodrow Barker/Parker, Baptist pastor at Emberson, burial being made by Brown Roden Funeral Home.
Dr. Scott leaves his wife; two daughters; 10 grandchildren and brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers were B.A. Adcock, Lon Gray, A.L. Self, J. T. Lassiter, John Kennedy and Landrum Thompson.
