September 21, 1905
Mary Elizabeth, daughter of C. J. and Jane B. Limbaugh departed this life at the home of her parents near Mayfield, Aug. 27, 1905, aged 5 years, 3 months and 27 days. Her illness was of short duration and she was suffering with the third congestive chill when the death angel called and relieved the little sufferer. We did all we could to keep her, but the good Lord called and we look thru our tears and beyond our sorrow and utter "Thy will he done." We laid her to rest in the Cook Cemetery near Scopus in the presence of many friends and relatives. She leaves father, mother, three sisters, two brothers to mourn her departure.
