George Warren Breinholt was born Saturday, December 24, 1904 in Redmond, Utah to George Arthur and Matilda Lenore Peterson Breinholt.


He married Melba Louise Dastrup on September 3, 1924 in Richfield, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death on April 18, 1969.


He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He retired from the Granite School District after twenty-five years of service.


George passed away on Thursday, March 7, 1991 at his home. He resided at 4647 South 1175 West in Taylorsville, Utah at the time of his death.


He was survived by three sons, G. Bruce and wife, Marie, Salt Lake City; Richard W. and wife, Arlene, Murray; Gordon L. and wife, Ruth, Taylorsville; one sister, Dora Gurr, Sigurd, Utah; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren.


Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, March 13, 1991 at 12:00 p.m. in the Taylorsville Twenty-Second Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1399 West Murray Taylorsville Road (4800 South) in Taylorsville. A viewing was held on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West) in Taylorsville, and on Wednesday at the Church from 11:00 until 11:40 a.m.
George was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy.
