Enid, OK โ€” The funeral for Charlotte Deana Burson, 83, of Waynoka, will be 2 p.m. today, Oct. 2, 2009, at Waynoka First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Marvin Stuckey will officiate. Burial will be in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka, LLC.

She was born June 11, 1926, in Quinlan to Lester and Mary Wilmot Washburn and died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009.

She graduated from Quinlan High School in 1944.

She married Taylor Miller in 1944.

She attended Beaches Beauty College in Enid in 1956 and was a beautician in Buffalo and Waynoka for 22 years.

In 1966, she married James Burson and they made their home in Iraan, Texas, for 13 years. She was one of the founding members of Faith Fellowship Church. She was the organist and pianist at the Methodist church in Waynoka for many years.

Surviving are her stepson, James A. Burson of Gilbert, Texas; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, one son and three brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Waynoka First United Methodist Church.
