WILLIAM ELBERT PATE

Little Wiliam Elbert Pate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pate, died at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Pate, Friday April 8th at 7 a.m. age 10 months and 13 days.

After seventeen days of suffering the little one had to pass from this old world. As we all know when the Lord calls no man can save. We believe all was done for the little one that human power could do, but it being God's will it had to go.

Just four months preceding the baby's death its mother passed from this world, leaving his father and four children to fight the battle of life. He carried them to his parents so as to have his dear mother help in raising them and of course it is such a grief to them all to give him up after becoming so attached to him, and he was such sweet, intelligent child.

He leaves a father, one brother and two sisters, his grandparents and a host of friends to mourn the loss of their loved one. The funeral service was held at Pleasant Grove Church by Bro. Collins, the pastor of the church. He using a portion of the 14th chapter of St. John for Bible reading.

Weep not father and loved ones for me, for I am waiting in glory for thee.
