Ovila Bown Williams, 87, died at her residence in Bloomington Saturday evening, Dec. 24, 1988. She was born January 6. 1907 in Fayette, Utah to James and Florence Bartholmew Bown. She married Howard W. Williams Oct. 25, 1929, in Huntington Park, Calif. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George temple in 1988. Reared in Sanpete County she was a graduate of the Brigham Young High School in Provo, and a graduate of Utah State University. She lived in southern California from 1929 to 1963 when she moved to Connecticut and returned to Laguna Beach, Calif. in 1973 and moved to St. George in 1984. She was a member of the LDS church. She is survived by her husband of Bloomington, a son, James Bown Williams of Freehold, New Jersey and two daughters, Mrs. Beryl Burgerson of Logan, and Mrs. Vivian Larson of Salt Lake. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1988, at 2:00 p.m. in the Metcalf Mortuary chapel where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery.
