Printed in Daily Herald on May 12, 1910:

"James R. Creel, aged 79 years, a native of Jones county and a resident of Biloxi for twenty-two years, died last night after a brief illness. The deceased leaves two sons and two daughters and a number of other relatives. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Jerome Ryan, 416 Water street".

Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 2, page 230:
James had been a farmer and was 79 years old when he died from dysentery. His last address was 416 Water St.

James was the son of John Creel, Sr., and Kiziah Dearman.
