WILLARD ALSOBROOKS

Willard Bell Alsobrooks, 82, Erin, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at his home of natural causes.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Mace Jett and Ronnie Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Alsobrooks Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at 8 a.m. until the hour of service at Nave Funeral Home, Erin.

He was born Aug. 6, 1917, in Houston County, son of George Washington and Kitty Young Alsobrooks.

Mr. Alsobrooks was a farmer and member and elder of Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church and charter member of Houston County Soil Conservation.

Survivors include his wife, Erma Rye Alsobrooks; a daughter, Kathy Gillespie, Erin; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Alsobrooks, Billy Alsobrooks, James Earl Alsobrooks, Fred Lyle Scott Lyle, Bronson Lyle, Gary Parr, Buddy Mobley and Jimmy Filts.

Honorary pallbearers will be elders and nephews.
