Boyce "Bo" Lee Batchelor was born on September 19, 1928, in De Kalb, Texas to Emmit Lee Batchelor and Hattie Era Benson Batchelor.

He died on Saturday, March 15, 1997, at Memorial Hospital in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 26 days.

Bo was a Missionary Baptist minister and was currently serving as a pastor of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Stilwell. He had served in the Army for three years.

He was married to Agnes Lee Hazelwood on December 18, 1950 in Texarkana, Arkansas.

He surrendered to preach in July, 1957 and was licensed by Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of De Kalb on September 8, 1958 under Elder George E. White. He was ordained to pastor by First Baptist Church of Arp, Texas under Elder E.L. Merriel. He attended seminary at Henderson, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Larry Jay Batchelor.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Batchelor of the home in Stilwell, two sons; David Bruce Batchelor of Carlisle, Arkansas, and Clifford Steve Batchelor of Stilwell, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren, three brothers; E.G. Batchelor of New Boston, Texas, Lyndon Ray and Thomas Wayne Batchelor, both of De Kalb, Texas, and one sister; Susie Laverne Olds of De Kalb, Texas, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Billy Pearson and Bro. Terry Shuey officiating. Burial followed at the Stilwell City Cemetery. His grandsons and church members served as pallbearers.
