Age 69, daughter of the late Peter and Florence Carrick Vladimiroff. Mrs. Prohowski was a carpet seamstress for more than 45 years. She most recently worked for Cohen Carpeting Co. and previously worked for Schillings Carpet, the Boston Store and Baumann Brothers Carpet. Mrs. Prohowski was a founding parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and was on the parish Bereavement Committee for several years. She enjoyed bowling.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Stanley J. Prohowski, on May 22, 1991; a brother, John Vladimiroff; and four sisters, Anne Kopes, Katie Beresky, Carolyn Fonda and Margaret Dunn.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Maryann) Brennan of Erie; a sister, Mrs. Ronald (Ruth) Szuba of Erie; a brother, William Shannon of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
