Mrs. Velma Shook Gist, 78, of Memphis, died Friday, June 8, 1984, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis after an extended illness.
Services were Saturday, June 9, 1984, at 2 p.m. at Marietta Methodist Church. Burial was in the Marietta Cemetery.
Mrs. Gist is the widow of Clifton Gist. She was a housewife and a Methodist.
She is survived by a son, Bobby Wade Gist of Memphis; one daughter, Greta Ann Pugh of Memphis; a brother, Luther Shook of Booneville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
