1811 - Thomas Hall, the son of John T. and Ann Lowe Hall, married Sarah Ann Wikoff, the oldest daughter of Peter and Catherine Tice Wikoff, on September 10. Thomas was 28 years old and Sarah was 15. They set up housekeeping on a farm in the northeast township near the Little Miami River and had 13 children. Thomas lived to be 79 years old and Sarah 95 years. After she was widowed, she continued to live on the farm with her son, Peter, and there she died. She had 72 grandchildren, 158 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren at the time of her death. When Sarah became ill just five days before her demise, her family wanted to have a doctor for her but she said, "No, I am worn out and when one is worn out in one life, they ought to go where they can begin life anew. I can do no more here, and I want to go where I can renew my youth and begin a better life." (Page 8)
