She was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Parkers Prairie, Minn., to Pastor John Alvin and Pauline Greiner Rueter and died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
The family settled in Enid in 1941 and she graduated from Enid Business College.
She married Walter Henneke March 10, 1945, in Superior, Neb.
She owned and operated a custom drapery business from 1958 until her retirement in 2007.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for more than 68 years and served as organist for many years.
Surviving are one daughter, Carol Trager of Wichita, Kan.; one son, David Henneke of Centerville, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, one daughter, three brothers, one half-sister and one half-brother.
