Charlene Walters, 73, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at a Waco nursing home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Bucklin Cemetery, in Bucklin, Kan., with Dr. Gary Winget officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco, Texas.
Charlene was born in Ford, Kansas, to the late Gordon and Beatrice Van Voorhis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Walters.
Survivors include daughters, Debbie Schreiber, of Waco and Sheryl Fernandez and husband, Jerry, of Brownwood; son, John Schreiber, of Covington, Texas; and granddaughter, Emerald, of Brownwood.
